International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)- DP Candidacy
The Senior School caters to maturing young adults grappling with the insecurities and challenges typical of teenage years. As a result, we strive to nurture an environment of curiosity, empathy, and innovation at senior school where teaching and learning is interactive, collaborative and experiential. The teacher is a guide who creates various opportunities for their holistic development and helps develop life skills, like self-discipline and perseverance, needed to shape students into transformational leaders ready to face all challenges in the future, leaders who take ownership of their own learning.
Adani International School is a candidate school* for the Diploma Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy - a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education - that we believe is important for our students.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) ensures students aged 16-19 are ready for success at university and beyond. IBDP students take responsibility for their own learning, developing critical and creative thinking as well as collaboration, research, self-discipline, and communication skills. The robust curriculum emphasises equipping the students with the skills needed to succeed in jobs and careers of the future. The program offers a range of subjects covering various academic areas, including humanities, sciences, and arts. The curriculum is made up of the DP core and six subject groups.
Students can choose subjects that align with their interests and career goals and are encouraged to select subjects that complement each other. In addition to the subject-specific knowledge, the Diploma program focuses on developing critical thinking and independent learning skills. Students are challenged to apply their knowledge and skills to real life. The external and internal assessments are tools to measure the extent to which students have mastered advanced academic and life skills in fulfilling these goals.
